This is the eleventh Traxx series locomotive to strengthen the fleet of CTL Logistics. Five of them are dedicated exclusively to the German market, while six locomotives have a DAPL configuration and operate on the Polish-German transport corridor. Such characteristics allow for a smooth movement (without the need to change the locomotive at the border) in the core segments served by CTL Logistics: fuels and chemicals, agricultural products, and intermodal transport – explains Krzysztof Pietrzyk, Member of the Management Board of CTL Logistics.

And he adds: With the support of well-functioning railway companies in Poland and Germany, it’s an ideal solution for the freight direction between the Eastern and Western Europe, which is now developing dynamically. In 2024, we’re planning to acquire more units of this type. The final shape of our locomotive fleet will depend on the pace of the Company’s development and on the market situation in terms of transport. All in all, this specialization allows us to be optimistic despite the signs of an economic cooldown.
